I bought a really nice intel xeon eng. sample cpu. They pop up sometimes on ebay.
But this one is really special..
Anyone have experience with such CPUs?
They are selected chips, much better as retail ? They are limited in such way?

So there's a pc game I want to take a screenshot of, it's a compilation of Rockman games. Whenever I take a screenshot with PrtSc, it shows up either completely black, or black/white completely corrupt (I can see the image is there, but like swimming in black ink).

Also tried with 3rd party screenshot programs, works great with a few other games I tested, only this one EXE file screws up all the screenshots.

Tried setting the EXE to Win 95 mode and 256 colours, no difference!

Need to acquire a period powermac that runs OS 7, but trying to find a list of "this computer will run X" for mac is a pain in the ass.

Need something that will run OS 7 for some dev kit software. Original dev kit was installed on an 8100 series Power Mac, but I am not finding many of those available.

I just don't want to spend money and shipping on a mac that wont run OS 7 natively.

Alternatively, has anyone had any luck with an OS 7 emulator? I don't have the dev hardware, just the...

My father and a friend made some games for the ZX81 back in the 80's.

For more than 30 years I've never see the games running. Only heard the histories behind the production of the games.

They recently found some tapes with the games and a friend helped us with the restoration.
Now I can finally play the games!

Just a heads-up to let you know my Trackstar website is up, covering the E, 128 and also Quadram's Quadlink <-- These are all "Apple II on a PC ISA card" Apple II clones. Really cool little devices!
If you own these devices, esp. the Trackstar E or Plus, there's HUNDREDS of disk images in its TrackStore format that I've converted manually.

Hello there! I'm a newbie in creating such patches but I found some interesting things I could implement into the game so it could run in widescreen. But I don't know how. So I found values in RAM that change FOV and Zoom and I really need someone to help me figure out how to actually for example hex edit that into the game (I've tried searching for values in game file but to no success). So please if anyone can help me with that I will really appreciate that.

So, recently I've been messing around with this PC I've built. Here are the specs:

Pentium 4 2.53GHz
512MB DDR
Voodoo 3 3000 16MB
160GB HDD
Pioneer DVD drive
Sound Blaster Live!
Windows 98 SE

For a long time I could only get 3D games to work with Glide; DirectX games wouldn't run at all. The program would exit immediately after opening it. So, I was looking online and I found the solution; I simply had to remove and reinsert the Voodoo 3. Now Glide and DirectX games are working.

Odd game, I know. But I have always wanted to make a some levels for it and see what is was in it's early stages. All I know is that it was developed by Eurocom(now defunct) and published by Disney Interactive.
It most likely uses a proprietary engine, if a copy of that exists, would it be possible to reverse engineer the game with it?

Are them of any value? The Amiga is working without any strange noise from the hdd ,aside from the floppy that make a click every 10 sec , but I read it's normal. Sadly it s missing the mouse and keyboard to fully test it, and recent ones are not compatible even if the ps2 port is the same .It's a model with 200 megs hdd and I like it . HI. I now this is a PC fourm, but let me explain why i haved to post it here. MY intention is connect all those old lightguns games from NES to the Original XBOX to an old CRT 23 inches PC Monitor from my PENTIUM 4 PC with WIndows XP. I know a CRT TV is the solution. I also have one. But I want to found a way to connect the retro consoles to the monitor for other reasons, thats my goal whit this post.
