Lifelong gamer, born in 1987, and quite literally raised on Nintendo - yes Link and I are the same age. I’m now a father with my own home and a bit more spending money. This has given me the opportunity to start collecting and playing the games and consoles I grew up on - and most importantly introducing them to my kids. Makes me throw up in my mouth when my son’s friends have never even seen Contra and believe Call of Duty is the best action/shooting experience ever. On the other hand, my son recently commenting that “there are sooo many different kinds of games for your old systems dad, all the new stuff seems like its all pretty much the same” was a pretty awesome experience. So anyway, I love games - I want to collect so I can play and pass down, and I like to hack and mod to improve the experience by increasing A/V quallity, preserving classics, or sometimes just because it’s cool.
