Hi !! I am a new user and I greet all users But I have this question. Any person have the Dreamcast with this Box ????????? The Date of sale is 27 nov 1998 !! When the console was released in JAPAN.
I was there on the 27th November waiting for the store to open clutching my place number ticket. Good days! Waiting for the Wii wasn't even close to what it was like when the DC launched. That's how electric it was. Anyway, I still have my day 1 system and box but it doesn't have the triangle on it. Could it be a display box? Yakumo
Yeah I've got a launch box with the silver triangle, I've seen alot of them with the Yukawa advert pictures on the back without it as well though.
Hi, Is very exiting can stay in the release date of system in Japan :love2::evil::love2:... Which means Could it be a display box? Sorry, but my english is very poor I understand that you think is possible that this box is a demonstration empty box. But is NOT a empty box, and comes with the promo "Yukawa phone strap" that SEGA gives out to the first customers. The promo "Yukawa phone strap" is very easy to found information but :crying:I never see the Box with the triangle of any web of Dreamcast
Hi You know How many days have had to sell this Box ???? I think that only selled on the day of reseale, because have the mark in the Box. In your Box put 27th November 1998 ?????????
I have an idea. Sega probably made half of the first day stock with the silver stickers in the corner of the box. Kron's Dreamcast is the first day manchine and has the sticker. Mine is also a first day machine but has no sticker. I did get the phone strap though however it wasn't in the Dreamcast box. It was given to me by the staff of the store when I bought the Dreamcast. yakumo
Well i dont know what the other sides of the box are like but its likely to of been so that shops could use this as a demonstration box but still have the console inside. For display purposes and to save space. Also i remember seeing many boxes stacked up everywhere on launch day so it was something to show the specifications of the dreamcast as the rest of the box looks plain.
Waiting for the DC and taking it home was one of the most magical experiences ever for me. I havent even bought a console since. I just can't find any magic in any of the next gens.
I've just found this out, The boxes with the mirrored triangle were all distributed through the retail store Lawson. Now you know
I've got the same one too, probably not worth anything. Remembering the like $500 I spent on it just to have it before the US got it, I don't think I'd ever sell it :X
when it was released in the uk i payed £289.99 i had it a day before the release date my nan ordered it in her empire stores catalogue i even remmber when they had a mega drive in that catalogue i whish i keepet it to show you all its not the same buzz without a sega console anymore they were bulid to last unlike the xbox 360/ps3 as for the wii is bulid to last that has some great games like nights should have been a dreamcast release sega games should be on sega consoles
