1 more prototype XBOX controller!!! - taking offers

Since I have 2 of these, I'd like to offer up one of these proto controllers to the assembler community who may be able to benefit and learn more about this item. Look in this thread for specifics and photos:

Now, the question of price. Since I don't know what something like this is worth being that not much info exists, I am taking offers for the time being and will make a decision based on the offers that come through. I'm based in the USA so keep that in mind for shipping purposes, I have 100% flawless eBay feedback and have done several deals with members on these forums.

Why am I going with an offer-based approach? Because eBay has a tendency to sometimes pull proto item listings and I'd like the assembler community to get first dibs on it.

Since I really can't do much with the second controller, I've been thinking of offering up the spare proto pad if the right offer came along.

It's identical to the previous proto controller I sold. Has the cabling, but NO BREAKAWAY cable portion to hook it up to an Xbox system port. And no, a production cable won't work (doesn't fit). I can't guarantee this to work on a production xbox, so keep that in mind.

I have done plenty of deals on this forum and my eBay feedback is 100% flawless. Serious offers only!

Well, the issue I've had all along is that:
1. these controllers are not very easy to come by.
2. i don't know what sort of price items like this typically go for, so i figure it's best to leave it up for offers from people that are a bit more familiar with dev/proto items.

It came by you pretty easily and cheaply right? These a seller on eBay trying to shift a GameCube prototype controller for $85, he hasn't been able to for the last 2 months. Maybe Xbox controllers are more rare? I dunno, just a comment.

 

I wouldn't say easily (or necessarily cheap for that matter)...they were more or less an unexpected find back when the xbox was still fairly new and not as high on the collector's lists. I had no idea what they were and paid the money not know exactly what I was getting.

In the years since, I've yet to see any additional controllers like these for sale, nor have I seen them in any dev kit pics.

 

The fact that its probably not even functional since you dont have the whole cord, hurts its value alot in my mind. $50-60 is probably what your looking at for it... If you had the whole thing, I would definitly want it.

 

I don't want to turn this thread into a debate.
If someone is interested in the controller, shoot me an offer and I'll make my decision based on the best offer.
