Well, I downloaded it. If anyone is interested, I can make rapidshares of each of the systems protos and post them here. To be honest, I am not very good at spotting differences, but I can be of some help and list the dates listed in the files and put them in a timeline so you can see how far away they were from completion.

EDIT: Trying to get most of the Sonic ones done. There are a bunch of crap games on there, but I will try to put the most important ones in a timeline.

EDIT 3: As for some of the other games, here is a brief description of the earliest known protos (Keep in mind that I have not played any of these in any sort of completion, so there is a chance that there is some major differences later on).

Sonic 2 is pretty much very late builds, mostly for debug purposes. HPZ and Wood zone are taken out, and the only major changes are ring amounts in the bonus stage).

Sonic 3 is pretty much Sonic 3 and Knuckles with many of the Sonic and Knuckles levels having issues and differences.

Sonic and Knuckles is pretty much a buggy version of the final

I've only played about 5 minutes of the earliest version of PSIV, but it is a early translation copy with the Japanese names instead of the US ones (At least for the main character).

Magic School Bus and Bonkers both have some major differences in the earliest versions. Bonkers is pretty much unplayable, while MSB has a bunch of stuff not implemented yet.

Also, here is a link to the prototypes. The only thing I have done to them is organize the larger sections into smaller ones with a folder for each game. This is exactly how it was downloaded off the torrent, so there might be some issues. (Mods, if this is a issue, then please delete them).

Streets of Rage 2 beta is actually labled wrong. It's World Heroes. A few of te 32X ones don't seem to work either under emulation such as the Virtua Racing betas. Maybe they'll work on real hardware but since we can't all make 32X carts I doubt many if any of us will see them. I'll give a few other Emulators a look to see if they'll run. So far I've checked on Gens and KGEN.

Are you talking about the Streets of Rage 3 beta? If so, its only the earliest one that is world heroes. The later ones are all SoR3.

Man I can still remember the ads of most of the games there.

But also, berenstain bears? I HATED that show:DOH:

Whoa wait, is it attached to one of the jurassic park ROMs? cuz I'm not downloading any of those.

At the current speed I need an answer quickly, before I actually download the virus:-(

All of the Jurassic Park files do not even include any PC binary. There is only the Mega Drive rom as expected. The virus scan is of course a false positive, probably generated from a funny series of bytes that make it look like the same series of bytes which was included in a virus once.

Afterall this is how virus scanners work and false positives can always happen.

really?, ok mate. Thanks for the heads up. I must have missed the others.

I guess my virus scanner was being over protective then  Still, better that than nothing I guess

Guys, you can help drx out by seeding these things instead of uploading them to mega file upload or wherever. Even if you don't donate, helping seed will show your support.

The Doom 32X protos are very nice, test screens, password option (!), cool.
There's a Virtua Fighter 32X with very few options either.

The earliest Doom one was interesting, since it seems like it was just the map mode with the menu (Unless I am missing something). Second oldest had no sound effects, what sounded like different music, and not as many enemies/items.

Didn't try Virtua Fighter yet, though.

Yakumo-sama you do need to get NOD32 instead of symantec . Since Symantec sucks bigtime. And is hugging memory like no other. And NOD32 didn´t find any virus.

The cost includes the overall cost of these protos, also GC, DC and some stuff I will be releasing later ;)

Jasonkhowell: The release dates shouldn't be included in the list. Release was usually 2 months after a final build.

drx: if this forum had karma points, you would get karma from me. Because you have learned a lot about certain stuff, through karma. So thank you Sir.
