For shmups and Saturn lovers, I released yesterday for Xmas at www.satakore.com the Dezaemon 2 Save Game Manager (D2SGM). You have now access to 118 new shmup games made by the dezaemoners community in Japan. You need the original Dezaemon 2 game to load the save games, and my D2SGM tool to transfert the save games from the cd to your backup RAM cart or your FD. So the D2SGM contains 118 games, 3032 screenshots and 178 music samples (more than 1 hour and 54 minutes of music). I also made a highres video to let you see how it works (video on the .rar with the .iso) And to go with the D2SGM, another database is up at www.satakore.com : the Dezaemon 2 games database. Most of the games developped for Dezaemon 2 could be find there, and for the games available in the D2SGM, you will find screenshots (more than 3000) and a video made by IGK. With this, you will probably have hundreds of hours of play. Merry Xmas 2007 from me and www.satakore.com !
Here is a link with the list of all the games found on the D2SGM:http://www.satakore.com/sega-saturn-dezaemon2-save-game-manager-downloadable-games.html For each games, you will find screenshots and a video so you can see how good some of them are.
Biometal (one of the demo games created by Athena) actually got developed into a full release for SNES. -hl718
So after a few days of fruitless searching, I have to ask... Any idea where a fella can buy a legitimate copy of Dezaemon 2? It looks like you can get the N64 and PS1 Dezaemon games easily enough, but the Saturn one is scarce and the people who have a copy aren't giving theirs up.
Yes, there isn't any dezaemon 2 at good price on eBay right now. But in Japan, you can easily find one for 500-800 yens, so try to find someone there (Yakumo or anybody else).
I did an FAQ. It can be found on GameFAQs (and other places). It's not totally complete yet but I guess this is a good reason to finish it.
