Awesome vid. Also when your talking about the pix port I believe it was also used for kernel debugging but when MS came out with a later sdk that allowed kernel debugging over ethernet they dropped the pix port.
Correct. At the 2010 time of XNA MS released the Blue sidecar'd kit with the XNA branding to advertise their new indy program. Later they introduced the dark smoke tinted XNA sidecar vs the famous blue. Both these had 1gb Ethernet ports in lieu of DVD emu or PIX. When the slim came out the Ethernet port was dropped and USB brought back on the rear with only DVD emu having had PIX discontinued. The standard Ethernet port on the kit itself has always been primarily used for networking and ftp with neighborhood. During the xna kits short life the sidecar's Ethernet port was used for kernel debugging.
It's all good. No one is inherently 100% on all matters XDK, it's like an animal, they behave with everyone differently. Case and point, yours had a new owner so it shit the bed. But you told it who it's new master is and it's now behaving. ; )
Good review mate. Nice to see you've taken interest and done the research. Thats a good kit you have there, a refurbed zephyr, had one myself a while back, all the zephyrs I've ever owned were nothing but hassle, but the refurbed ran beautifully. Also hard to come by a xenon grey coloured case on a zephyr bud. The grey sidecar also contrasts very nice. Heres my kit I had, I checked dates from my kit and yours in the video just to see if you had it but sadly its not haha.
