I moved all my domains from godaddy over the elephant shooting videos he posted.

I recently was offered affiliate at the registrar so hence the post.

Basically the domains are very inexpensive to register and
they don't push product down your throat like godaddy.

This is an affiliate link (I would be obliged if you used it if you decide to use them)

    non affiliate link

No need to pay $9.99 or $7.99 for godaddy anymore.

I believe it goes up a few bucks but nowhere as bad as godaddy.

I had a look and from what I can see Namecheap charges $9.98 + $.18 ICANN fee?

.info domains are $2.99/year it seems but....yeah...

I was thinking that too. If you're after a professional website .info doesn't look good. I was looking for CyantificProductions.com

Eh .com is commercial, I like .info for the cheap price, I myself own a .info site.

And Assembler, do they have cheap hosting? 'Cause I know I'm getting ripped off with hosting at Go Daddy.

If you check their facebook or twitter they always have sales.

I don't know about hosting, I would never use hosting by a registrar. Too much
    control in one place.

I have a domain name from one.com that costs me 2.16 $ per month which is okay for me anyway.

My domains are hosted by Namecheap. No nonsense pricing and simple access to your stuff. Couldn't be happier with them.

I have used Namecheap since 2004, never had any problems with them. A good feature about them is you can grant rights so other users to they can modify the host records without using your account.

There usually have a coupon code each month to get a a bit off domain registrations and stuff, this months codes are:

IceAge – 10% off shared, reseller, and business hosting.

HotVPS – 10% off VPS packages.

SmileToSun – Discounts on brand new one year registrations of com, net, org, and biz domain names.

http://www.namecheapcoupons.com/ - good source for various coupons to save a little, soon adds up in my experience.

I always hear people say that, but I've never had a problem having my domain and hosting together. Maybe people have just had bad experiences, but personally, I've never experienced any problems because of it.

what a dick. He's got everything a man could dream of, read money, and he still needs to take another being's life to feel satisfied. I hope more people will follow your example Kevin.

I've never used his sorry service and now I'm glad I didn't.

I've got a .com and an .org on Enom. They're ok I guess.

I had my org renewed for a few years some time back for as low as 10 bucks a year. now they doubled the price so I paid 20 for a year of my .com.

I like that they have a WHOIS privacy service... as long as it's a decent one. Do you still own the domain and it stays in your name? I see it's only free for the first year, though.

However, cheap .info domains are used by most registrars as a sprat to catch a mackrel... they do it cheap for the first year, then jack up the price when you come to renew! In this case, $2.99 will become $9.69, at which price I wouldn't want a .info domain when I could have a .com for less.

And yes, .com domains are just over $10.. but that's not a bad price. The strange bit is that domain transfers are much more for .info domains, but cheaper for .com! Eh?! Their .co.uk domains, whilst not the cheapest, are still pretty competitive!

Anyway, I'll certainly give this some thought!
