    can someone help me?

i have two problems with two game console (the sega cd and the nes)
ill begin with the sega cd problem:

i bought a sega cd from a garage sale and he worked perfectly i played two hours with it when i decided to move it on a bigger tv screen. so i took it , and conect it to an other tv. i turned it on , but nothing happened so i check if every hook ups where corectly pluged.... and i saw the problem ; i've take the ac power suply of my nes to make it work ! damn! so i've shearch for my sega cd plug and hook it to the sega.
    but he was dead.

i've never had luck with sega cd ... :smt022

but, can i open it and repair it?
if yes, what must i change? what must i do?

o and for the other problem, ive bought a second nes in a garage sale too . but when i turn it on, i cant see hero or badys sprites.
never in every game that i own!
    ive check them all.

    can someone help me?

    thx!!!

    1) You must replace the 7805 voltage regulator(s) inside your Sega CD, you fried them when you used the NES AC adapter. Never use a NES power supply with anything but a NES, they break everything. The voltage regulator is a IC with 3 pins, usually screwed onto a heat sync. These cost about US$0.30-1.00. Most likely you will need to replace only 1. Alternatively, you could have broken a fuse (if one exists.) Maybe you should have a professional look at it.

    2) You probably need a new 72-pin cartridge connector for your NES.

You could try using contact cleaning spray for your NES, my NES (well, one of 4 :p) had a dodgy cartridge connector - though not as bad as no sprites showing up - but after taking the nes apart, spraying the edge connector and 'cleaning' it by inserting and removing a cart a few times, it works as new again. Never get the flashing power button again :smt023

Er...uh...is that just the official NES AC adapter...as I'm using a universal 9V AC adapter that works on both Sega CD and NES...as I don't have an official Sega CD adapter...and my NES one was stolen a few years ago by my brother...though the adapter always stays plugged into NES...as I never use Sega CD.

Er...Is the official NES adapter that bad????

well, I dont know about the JP/US units, but the PAL NES uses 9V AC whereas the MCD/MD/GG/SMS use 9/10v DC.

Yes, the NES is AC and I believe has the wrong polarity. MAYBE, the Sega CD has a center-positive plug, I know for sure that Mega CD (1) has the 9vDC center-negative Japanese console standard.
