So,as the title says,I've got 2 dead Xboxes sitting next to me right now. One is a 1.0,and traces around the A18/A19 points are destroyed. Samsung DVD drive and no HDD,Delta PSU. The other one is a v1.4,TSOP was accidentally erased while trying to flash X2 4983 but flash failed (before it even started)and next reboot gave FRAG forever. Philips DVD drive,10GB Seagate HDD,Delta PSU. Now,what to do with them? I couldn't find any modchip in my town,not to mention that I'm also broke (again). Any DIY solution is welcome.
Yep to fix bad TSOPs, you'll need a pre-flashed modchip. For broken traces, jumper wires might help, but I could say I'm not very good with trace repairs. Someone who has more knowledge on that will be able to verify that.
