I am looking for a TV that will output 240p over component. Would like to know from people what TV's work? I am hooking a SNES. My current TV does it but the screen shakes. Make and Model?
I think you mean input. Any CRT that has a component input should be able to do that. Unless you're specifically looking for an LCD, but you didn't mention that.
there was SONY LCD TV for the domestic market that does 240p & 15KHz sync unless I'm mistaken SONY KLV-15AP2 should be the one. It has the AV multi input which accpets 15KHz RGB signal.
Yes I meant flat panel TV's: LCD, Plasma. I was under the assumption that CRT would be fine. I have it hooked up S-Video on CRT and it looks really nice, just wanted to see if there were other options. I was contemplating getting a CRT with component , just not sure if it's worth the hassle. All the ones I'm finding are pretty big. Does component on CRT look that much better than S-Video?
From personal experience, almost all Samsung full hd tv support 240p over component. I've had LCDs and Plasmas over the years, and all my Samsungs worked 240p over component. All my LGs had problems with it. Also, some CRTs does not work in 240p over component. The ones that do 480p or 1080i (also called EDTV)
I have a Samsung Syncmaster P2370HD, it shows a beautiful picture over 240P but the image shakes. Making it unusable for playing games. Would it be the older CRT's that do 240P over component?
Not only CRT, but LCD and Plasma TVs. How the image shakes? Maybe the monitor/tv set does not like 240p over component.
I tried different settings in the menu of my TV/monitor and it don't help. Think I'm going to have to get an OSSC or a TV that is compatible with it. Anyone getting rid of an OSSC? shoot me a message. Until then I just play on a CRT in S-Video and it looks really nice on that too.
