http://www.gizmodo.com/gadgets/portable-media/gold-and-diamond-covered-original-game-boy-185959.php Wow ,this is more money than for a SNES-CD :110: Also: http://www.swisssupply.com/nintendo.php ..check this sexy DS too: http://www.maxconsole.net/content_img/dslitetogb1.jpg
Hm... the LCD itself should be made out of diamonds. As ridiculous as it is, it does look really nice. Now, if only they made a silver-plated Saturn! Also, your link to the DS doesn't work.
I remember a 1994 EGM magazine with a Game Gear that had the same "gold and diamonds" treatment, and was worth seventy five thousand pounds. Who gets these things?
Some blinged up Rap "artiste", most likely. Didn't Nintendo run some kind of fashion designer promotion where they were given free-reign to do whatever they wanted with it? I think I saw it on Gamesmaster, the TV show Or was it Bad Influence?
I remember some DSs that had a similar treatmnent, along withy a solid gold PSP replacement case. Btw, I would LOVE to see some pics of the GG.
I fail to see the value and sexy-ness of expensive metals such as Gold, Platine, Silver etc really. Jewls are for ladies - I go for functionality over Looks when it comes to objects;p
This looks really cool, i'd love to get that, but you have to remove some 0's from the price then lol.
At one time the original Gameboy was considered to be pretty cool and was the latest "thing to have", just like the ipod is today (rappers get those tarted up in similar ways)
2006 or not, if I had the money to afford it, I'd buy it. The classic gameboy is one of the most nostalgic and cool designs ever for me.
What a waste of money... not that I don't like the OG Game Boy, but still, I don't see a game boy when I look at that, I see rent for like five years. Damn I'm poor.
