Okay, so we all know PAL versions of games during the 16-bit era was a bit of a joke. They were made to play at 60 FPS, but the PAL version ran at 50 FPS, making the animations in the game jerkier and slower than they should be. But with 3D games that all changed, the animation ran for the same length of time, there were just less frames in the PAL version. But what about 2D games on these systems? Games like Odin Sphere and Metal Slug? Do they suffer from the same issues that games on 16-bit consoles did? After all, you've got an animation that consists of say, 24 frames, those frames will play out faster at 60 FPS than at 50 FPS.
