Hey all, One of my favourite ever game series turns 30 this month. Please check out my Outrun tribute video below, where I look at the game, it's home ports, sequels and legacy. Cheers in advance if you do! www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJ0462V9cao&feature=gp-n-y&google_comment_id=z13gw5exdl3ce3s5b04cf1wwss2stnjiapc0k
love this series so much always have from the first time i played on my genesis and in the arcade to the xbox and psp. now i have it on my 2ds. retro gamer had some great coverage in a recent issue [/QUOTE]
Yep, I've got that issue of Retro Gamer as well, it was partially what inspired me to make the video. On the subject of Sega Racers, here's a slightly weirder video comparison I've made recently: www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WijQnpv1Ak
Looking forward to watch this. I really enjoy your content MrThunderwind, you truly deserve more subscribers.
For me OR2002C2C is still a "new" game and it's almost 10 years. And yeah i still remember playing the original in 1989 or maybe 1990. Time got a huge nitro tank - it runs so fast... P.S. I have Outrun 2006, Cannonball and MAME installed on my laptop, so i basically don't go far from home without those games.
Thanks. It's been slow going but the number of subs is slowly creeping up. I'm only 9 away from 1000 now. Yeah, I think it even still looks like a new game as well. Looking at the footage of Outrun 2 and Coast 2 Coast being upscaled on the 360, it's hard to believe it was made for hardware 2 generations ago. Sumo really did an amazing job with the home ports.
I subbed, I'm probably going to start making videos again myself. I miss making them and I have an endless pool of games to pull from. But enough about me. I like the channel and presentation and that Outrun video brought back the memories....of a few days ago when I was playing Outrun in Final Burn Alpha because I can't get cannonball to work in Retropie.
