more for the safety of my 32x. I followed the idea here > http://www.segakore.fr/articles/switch_32x.html . on my 32x pin 17 on the 315-xxxx chip seemed to float with enough voltage when the switch was open so it stayed in NTSC mode. unfortunately I didn't think to get a voltage reading at the time to find out how much it was floating. Edit floating voltage on my pin 17 on the 315-xxxx is 2.6V, just enough to push it to 60Hz mode. I put a second wire in to ground on the other pole of my switch ( luckily it's an spdt switch not a spst ) and pal mode worked again when I fired it up . Now consider the floating voltage again should I put a resistor back in line with the 315-xxxx chip on pin 17? if so what resistance? ( I lost the surface mount resistor I've got a box of resistors ) or is it fine as it is?
