hi i was wondering if their is any scans on the web thats has a scan of the 32x Genesis cardboard tray that holds the game cart and manual i got some 32x box games but they are missing their red trays
The NTSC US 32x inner trays are Yellow/Orange. The PAL UK ones are black with the 32x logo across them. The NTSC JP and PAL Asian ones are recycled pressed white card. I think you are thinking of Genesis cardboard trays, they are red. I have often wanted to get some replacement card cases as some of mine are a little shabby, but I worry it will lead to repros being made, and in my opinion thats a no no.. A quick google search comes back with lots of printable covers for plastic clamshell cases, but no cardboard ones. There is a guy on eBay, from Spain i think who sells PAL 32x repros at the moment.. mainly NTSC to PAL repros that never got an official release, although he has sold Darxide, Primal, and T-MEK repros in the past, (I worry his carts or boxes might be sold at a later date as genuine!!!!!!) He may be able to supply you with repro trays. Or you could sacrifice one tray and ask a local print company if they are willing to do limited run.. Although its probably expensive for a small run..
I assume you are talking about this seller: http://www.ebay.de/usr/segarules 32X repros... at first I thought "great", but then realized the obvious flaws: I've learned about the unreleased/beta 32X games on this board and seeing someone else making money from a third-party/community effort is quite the bummer. Seeing some repros advertised as original games could be even worse. In Japan sellers have started advertising them as "foreign produced Japanese version"... I bought most of my 32X stuff about 20 years ago. It's crazy to learn about the price tags on some rare PAL titles not to mention those crappy 32XCD games... and even sports games, c'mon!!
Yes.. all true, I love my 32X collection and enjoy collecting them. I have noticed a small dip prices of the big three PAL games lately, with a boxed complete DarXide selling on eBay a while ago for £500. I wonder if the release of these repro's has worried some potential buyers. Edit: although some nutter had a PAL Primal Rage for £3999... ha ha ha
