Surfing on web I found this: Anyone know how does it work? Saves Game aren't encryped with profile key? I'm not a cheater, I lost all my saves game.
It is possible to Null The Profile id and Console Id from saves so that they work on any profile and any console. This probably what they did. besides that its probably just a normal save with awesome stats.
Wow, never seen that before. Don't they reset your score if you use gamesaves, or does this not count?
Nah, this is nothing significant in terms of homebrew. I dont know if your knowledgeable about gamesaves on the 360, but basically CON files house saved games etc and with the recent events of the Halo 3 community ( majority immature little kids) tools to modify and sign these containers are readily available for free I might add.
Microsoft have been going around reseting profiles with a stupid increase rate in their gamerscore back to zero, not allowing them to obtain their previous achievements, and it says that they have had the gamerscore reset on the XBLive profile.
NXE banned a set of keyvaults that were being used to sign files, basically the new thing with NXE is you have to find a keyvault from private means if you want to last for a while.
Before, an update had to take place across all 360's on live just to ban on Keyvault. Now they can do so without you knowing.
This is speculation, Nobody Knows that. But they can Fix the Keyvaults at any time so Public resigners and Keyvaults arent safe anymore.
Don't hold me against these, as I have yet to do the research myself, but both of them seem to have a pretty fair idea on what they're doing.
The keyvault has a Public and Private keypair, Microsoft can get the Public Keypair just by downloading a gamesave of any site you may find, They can then revoke this Public keypair from being allowed to load on a console unless its the console it was actually created on. Keypairs can be extracted From Linux Consoles that are exploitable.
You were just repeating everything that had been explained, but I see where the confusion has come from. T'was my fault. Typo @ KeyVault instead of KeyPair in original post.
Yeah. Microsoft just bans the public key certificate.. There isn't a way they can know the private key without having the KV, which they wouldn't need. If they wanted to ban the public key they just need a CON signed with that key pair.
That and if you have a modded 360 and got your keyvault that would mean as long as you dident give it out how would they know :katamari:
