360 dashboard update

Ok so now I have my choice of ...

Standard
Enhanced
Expanded

In my VGA settings.

Erm what the difference and selecting each one and poking around I'm not noticing a difference. Is this mainly for "older" monitors ??

 

i havent tried it yet, but apparently some people (including me) had probs with the vga on lcd tv's (washed out colours, dark picture etc) but from what ive read, if you select expanded or enhanced it improves it drasticly, ill letyou know how i get on later with it

 

Hmm, haven't really noticed any thing with my LCD monitor. I checked gamefaqs (yeah I know) and a poster there was saying it made a vast difference with watching DVDs in 420p.

Only thing I've ever noticed as "dark" would be Marvel: Ultimate Alliance and that IS dark.

i ll give it a shot on my LCD monitor and see what happens

 

I'll have to try....I was wondering what that was. The new update so far rocks, my 360 has a LOT less menu lag.

 

ohh man the VGA out now for x-box 360 is perfect now is like pc or dreamcast

 

I can't see any difference in any of the modes on my LCD monitor, I'm assuming this is for HDTVs

 

I downloaded an update last night and for HD settings this all looked the same

 

I don't notice much. On my HDTV the component inputs are funky or something because VGA gives me way better color and sharpness.

 

i noticed the difference on my VGA =)
