This nightmare-inducing Franken-kiosk in front of a major Den-Den Town retailer might explain why MSoft’s having a rough time in Nippon. Freaky! Wow, I would like to know who threw this togther.... Source : Kotaku
Yeah I even know where that shop is! It is on the main nihhonbashi dori. It could not be more central! The shop is about as big as a large sofmap - 4 floors. (Great retro music cd section.) Anyway, that is damn funny! Further proof that MS are simply not actually making any effort in the japanese market. That shop was a great place and was always full of people, if MS people cannot get a store front demo unit going in the center of nihonbashi going - then what chance do they have. Just lazy.
that looks more like the store owner was buggering around, Noone would ever send that to a shop to try to make people buy a console, unless they are trying to get people to buy a PS2!
Damn, that TV is worse than the one i have to play PS2. I don't get why a Store Display would have that "kind" of TV to display games...
Wouldnt that make him a Nintendo Fanboy? :icon_bigg Dont you think this site is too mature for fanboy wars anyway? For those that remember my days as AFM, yes I am aware of the irony.
I hope you guys realise that isn't the official 360 display kiosk. Looks like the store built that up out of an old Sega Saturn one, I shit you not !. Yakumo
The kiosk is the american retail version for the Xbox 1. I'm not exactly sure what it's doing in japan (aside from being humiliated). I have one of those in my living room... I'm trying to get a second so i can system link 'em. EDIT: Here's mine:
