Does anybody else have an issue of their 360 knocking out their wifi when it's turned off? My 360 seems to briefly knock out my wifi for about 2-3 seconds when it turns off.
Well not that I have any idea, but you might try unplugging your xbox's wifi adapter and trying again. This might narrow it down to 1 of 2 categories: (both of which seem exceedingly unlikely to me, but whatever) 1. Some weird EM interference in your power supply or something else 2. Your wifi adapter momentarily crashing/overloading your router when its switched off suddenly Feel free to poke fun at me for suggesting absurd things, I just think its a hilarious problem.
it is, it's not disruptive I'm just wondering how it's doing this. My router a common as all fuck linksys is on the other end of the house down stairs probably a good 50-60 feet from my laptop/360.
I've got a Falcon 360 three inches away from a Linksys WRT54g (direct connection) and a launch 360 plugged into a Linksys WGA600n (bridged to the router). Never seen any WiFi dropping.
I have a problem with my 360 controller switching off every now and then when I use my Pioneer wireless DTS headfones. A bit of a pain in the asre to be honest when playing something on-line. yakumo
A mate of mine's 360 would interfere with his flatmate's wireless video transmitter, didn't have a Wifi adapter so he tried a wired controller thinking that the Bluetooth might be affecting it. I'm not sure if the Bluetooth stays on anyway or if there's actually any way to disable it, don't think he ever solved the problem.
I had a similar problem awhile ago with my xbox wireless adapter. Whenever I'd turn the xbox on the wireless adapter would knock the Wifi out for a few seconds (and if someone was unlucky enough it would kill the 2.4Ghz phone we had too). For giggles I used a Wireless Spectrum Analyzer and found that when the adapter was turned on it would saturate all of the 2.4Ghz spectrum with junk for about 3 seconds. The adapter died shortly there after OH:
