http://majornelson.com/archive/2008/...ow-us-199.aspx Quote: It's official: We've got an Xbox 360 price cut coming to the US. Our friends in Japan announced their price cut earlier this week, but now it's time to roll one out here. As of September 5th, the new prices will be as follows: Xbox 360 Arcade $199 Xbox 360 $299 Xbox 360 Elite $399 Business Week has just posted an article outlining their thoughts on this latest round of pricing. Finaly but I gotta say, a bit too late on droping arcade to $200. That should have happened last christmas (wii is running off brand name way too much now).
Time to see if I can get the price difference credited since just about a week ago I had to buy (replace) a new 360 since the last died.
Depends where you buy. Most big retailers have a 15 day price refund policy (they will give you the difference).
Overall, a good move. Just in time for the Q4 buying rush, but not too soon so as to keep the losses minimal.
Well I got it on the 26th of August. So according the Nelson it drops on the 5th so that's less than 15 days. Hopefully I'll get the additional 50 bucks credit, maybe put that toward a game.
Is that a genuine advert/offer??? ...If it is, it's very unfair to the rest of the world, I hope you feel guilty about getting such goodness virtually free!
Hehe, is genuine yes. But I don't need more x360, I have 4 (2 devs and 2 retail). One retail cost me 30 euros new (a mistaken in the price :dance.
