So I see a lot of Arcade, Slims, XDKs and XNA kits, but I never really hear discussion about this Slim E 360. Is it able to be modded? Are there any sample/test kits of it floating around? Is there any benefit to this over the other 360s? What CAN you do with this? I haven't read very much info about it online as searching for answers never really shows any results. Any info of what can and can't be done with this or any dev related notes would be appreciated.
Yes It can be modded Xbox 360 e Stress Test Kit http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/xbox-360-e-stress-test-kit.58784/
I remember this thread. Never really paid much attention to it. Was there anything fun to do on it? Also as for modding is it straight forward or is it different? visually speaking I very much like it, though it seems too cheap from only looking at it.
An XDK is an XDK is an XDK. They all do the same thing. The E is a bad way to go about an XDK anyhow seeing as it's a stripped S and no way to put a sidecar on them. The XDK E is rare because of the end of life time the 360 was in and never made it out to developers. The ones popping up were internal stress kits with only that function in mind. But for functionality, an S is far superior in my opinion.
The stress e is not mine as for the modding it's just a corona and at the end a new motherboard was found and called Winchester. http://team-xecuter.com/forums/threads/147484-New-Xbox-360-Winchester-Motherboard
Functionality wise would you say a Jasper and an S are basically on the same level? Furthermore, do you think that with all the cost cutting, that we could potentially find E kits that are closer to S when it comes to components? It would seem reasonable that it could happen. Thanks for this.
It's comparative. The jasper is a great kit, I have a few of them. I prefer how they look over the S too. My corona just never has had any issues so I can't really say anything bad between the two....
