and because of the weak dollar nintendo took us wii systems, modded them to pal, and sold them in europe because they made more money. i read that on maxconsole a while ago.
50000?? Didn't sold 24 k the last week? Where is the other 26 k? I read that the small shops has x360, but the problem is the retailers hasn't. I think MS is very very silly ... Sony put sometimes planes to supply zones in christmas, I don't know how MS take more than a week to supply Japan with consoles ... (I don't know that Japan needs more than 30 k systems)
Nah, dealing with other things now. But this is good news. I'd say the 360 is doing as well as most Sega Hardware did in Japan. Until the Saturn Sega hardware never sold astoundingly well in Japan if I'm not mistaken.
Na, that was just an estimate dude. They sold out in two weeks or so. Hopefully Infinite Undiscovery and Last Remnant keep this going.
Xbox 360 sold out? Oh one retailer in Akihabara has sold out, gosh! and the HDMI model which is cheaper then the Elite and Japanese people may want as it has an HDMI port as nearly all HDTVs have them is sold out on one Japanese online retailer. Still this is the same Kotaku who seem to think one shop = the whole of Japan... On launch day the 360 section was sold out of controllers, cables, and just about every other accessory. I asked the manager if that meant sales were good, and he told me, "I don't know. I actually didn't bother to order any." heh
