Hi there, as I have no idea where to ask or how I would contact the "old bullfrog team"...I always loved the intro of the DOS game Syndicate. Now, in days of 3D printing, I wonder if these models showed up somewhere, so I could print the models from the intro. (Figurines, cars etc.) Im aware most of it probably is vga pixel art (handanimated, frame by frame), but at least the car could be a 3D model. (?) Imagine a small diorama in 1:64... ^^
I don't believe you'll get a hold of those model files, or that you'd like them even if you did (that car, for example, looks like a very basic glossy "flattened egg" with pretty undetailed textures). But I do like your idea of some kind of diorama. The Syndicate Wars models might work as papercraft, or maybe someone with an artistic streak could even come up with some good looking things from scratch? edit: This site has a rendering of a 3D version of the first mission. I wonder if that might be available somewhere?
Nice, didnt know about that project. I did some rushjob in photoshop : (and contacted designer Sean Cooper via mail)
That car just doesn't work too well all by itself, imho - desperately needs a piece of futuristic environment to chill in. Actually I think the architecture makes most of the game's look...
