I guess back in the 90s thats how some game companies lied to their customers by using high prerendered graphics to demonstrate a console's capability.
Didn't Sony said ps2 would be able to do toy story graphics in real time? Or something to that effect
If I remember correctly the "toy story graphics" claim for both the PS2 and the Xbox was created by the press in response to Sony and Microsoft stating that they could do movie quality 3d graphics.
To be fair, pretty much the only movie with 3d graphics at the time was toy story, so its basically the same thing. But even still, they were no where near movie quality graphics - so lies all the same.
Couldn't keep from laughing at this moment. Thanks for the video, was interesting to see it in original size instead of filmed during presentation.
