    The Panasonic FZ-1 is also front loading and tends to be a little more reliable.
    Also, it's not much of an issue since it only affects the first batch of Goldstar consoles released, but some Goldstar units have compatibility issues with a handful of games. This problem was addressed with later releases of the console, but it something to consider especially when no other 3DO console has that fault.

    Try running Crash 'n Burn. If it works, you are fine. If it doesn't, then you have an early Goldstar unit that has a small compatibility issue.
