Hello, i dont often post here, but you guys have some of the few knowledgable 3DO fans i know of, so i will post my problem here in hope of some help and understanding whats wrong..

    This is my problem.

Recently i bought a FZ-10 VCD adaptor from Germany, and it apears to be a PAL version. It has german text on the box, amongst english for example. The adaptor has no external power source. The item is brand new.

I recently also bought a brand new FZ-10 Console, US NTSC version. I tried connecting these together, and the 3DO VCD logo does show once the system is turned on. I tried playing both US released original vcd's on it, and a german release original vcd, but all the console does is load for a short while, and then go silent, all the while showing a blank screen, black.

I also have a FZ-1 console, pal version, to which ive had a FZ-1 VCD adaptor attachted to, that one being a Japanese NTCS version. This match plays the same vcd's with no problems.

I dont know much about regional coding and so forth, but i was under the impression that since its supposed to be region free (aside from a few rare games requiring japanese fonts) this also applied to accessories?

My 3DO Memory Unit works perfectly with both consoles for example.

If someone has any ideas, please dont hesitate to share. Or if you need more information ill be happy to provide it!

Please help me sort this problem out, or if you know why, let me know what the problem is!

    Thanks and best regards,
    grimm
