    I found these at a local thrift store.... I know the console powers up, the tray ejects but sometimes gets stuck. That's as far as I've tested it.

    If you want specifics, just ask.

    To bad it is the only model with copy protection and requires a swap to play backups. If not i would scoop it up right now.

    Correct me if I am wrong, but I think goldstar has copy protection because they where the main manufacture of the disk

    Either Way.

    Heck yea this is one of the best deals i have seen. And the reason they have copy protection is they were the last manufacture to get in on the license from Panasonic.

    Not sure about GDO-101, but japanese FZ-10 boots from 85V AC just fine, i got nice shielded and sealed transformer from some medical equipment and built 85V probably the safest PSU ever - you can drop it in water and it just turns off in a less than millisecond (tested :D), But don't try to plug any of those in 220v, AFAIK there's no 3DO console with universal PSU and you'll get a smoke (usually nothing serious, just a fuse and varistor but i won't recommend trying :))

    I'm so stupid didn't see the label, I have a step down that can run a 110v Dreamcast on it. Would the 3DO be fine?

    The inability to play from a CD-R is the drag along with the lack of complete testing. If it wasn't for the former I'd probably grab this myself.

    Well i posted tools to sign backups to boot on this system in the file downloads if someone wants this and the backuos part is stopping anyone.
