3do Goldstar Loading Issue

So I bought a 3do. The system looks fantastic. So I get it home and pop in a demo I have and it works great. The videos play, the demos work, controller works, etc. So I went a little nuts and bought a box of 3do games. But oddly enough, the games won't load. The menus load completely, but when i try to load gameplay levels it reverts back to the 3do logo screen and tries to reload from the beginning.

For example, when I load Gex, it goes through the normal loading screens. It goes to the main menu. It even loads the beginnings of the game, the world map. It even loads the sub-map. Then when I actually select the level to actually play, it just hits me with the 3do screen and starts over from the beginning.

I have a window to return it, but if there is something I can do I'd like to try. Any ideas??

I don't get why it will work fine with the demos, but not the actual games. Only thing I could think of would it being the laser? SF-C93AQ is the model number.

 

Yeah its odd. So far I've tried four games and only one will make it to actual gameplay. Thank you for the model number.
