maybe it merits another look and its own thread? ill let the mods decide that.
Btw, if that is the case, is that a big deal?

the current state of gadget batteries, that is sorta expected. The market may not scream and yell about it too much.

So like the original PSP then?

And for the love of god can we PLEASE not drive traffic to Wraggster's shithole of a "network"? He doesn't deserve to benefit from the ad revenue.

Can anyone name a 1st gen gadget that had a good battery life? I guess the iPad's is if are blind and don't realize it's a big old iPhone. First iPod, first iPhone, first PSP all sucked donkey shit.

I agree... please just choose another ( or actual direct ) source for this information

Maybe if Wraggster would only listen to a few words of advice....

Oh wait...not going to happen as he only gets on the computer to forward what his rssbots feed him...

I love the ipads battery. Phenominal. Even the 3GS (2nd gen) battery is total fail... Can't say the 4 as I haven't used it.

I guess the original gb had 10-30 hours battery life but we never ever got that much from it.

It's just another way the 3ds really fits into a different category than real portable gaming...

If you can charge it in a car, I don't see a problem.

Does anyone plan on playing a 3DS for 8 hours straight without charging it?

I'm not all that concerned. I don't really take my handhelds on the go often, and when I do, I don't think I play them for 3.5+ hours.

My only concern is whether or not the system charges via cradle only. Becuase the DS you can plug and play, but it would be more difficult to do that with a cradle. If that ends up being the case, I guess one could just try to get in the habit of returning the device to its cradle at night instead of only when a charge is needed.

Personally I think you youngsters don't know what battery life is about, the Sega Nomad was lucky to get 45 minutes on 6 freshly charged NiMH batteries. Although saying that the Game and Watch series would last at least 6 months on two LR44 batteries even if played everyday...

On second thought, consider it a safety feature to keep your wrists in better condition.

Maybe not 8 hours straight, but sometimes you are on a trip and play a few sessions without a chance to charge the device in between.

I said it before and I'll say it again: it's ironic that it gets the same battery life than the old fat PSP did, considering the shitstorm of comments from angry Ntards back in 04/05.

Ah the trusty old Nomad! with her irregular shape and backpack battery holster.

I remember when those same characteristics almost triggered an alert when a retarded security guard thought mine was a disguised bomb.

Thank god that happened before 9/11...
