50001 controller port on 39001?

    Hey guys, how are you doing?

    I just noticed that my SCPH-39001 got it's controller port bad. Can I replace it with a 50001's?

    I remember i watched a video years ago with a ps2 with ilink and original build in ir sensor.
    I think it was a v7/v8 with the power on/off unit of a v9/v10.
    That would be interesting...

    There's no such thing as PS2 with both infra red and iLINK built in.
