Honestly, I'm glad Sony is doing this. I never really liked the idea of having two or three different versions of the same console (special and limited editions excluded). I'm glad Sony is moving toward having one unit and one price. I wish Microsoft would do the same.
Well actualy thinking about it. Lets be truthful here. When all the 60GB stock is gone for good, Sony will just drop the 80GB bundle down to the price that the 60GB bundle is now. Personaly if you want a ps3 ultimately and would use it for ps2 games, just go buy one now since you can get 5 blu-ray films with it.
To me there is only one decent "next gen" console, that is the PS3. The Wii was all well and good for a few min but quite frankly just does not cut it as a decent console (I want decent graphics with bags gameplay and a game which will last). The Xbox360 looked promising some nifty games and graphics to die for... so it did. Even before it dies the amount of slow down I was getting on full auto pissed me right off. When I get a new one I fully expect it to die too. So it leaves me with the PS3, just waiting for that killer game.
To me their are none. $500 on a dedicated MAME setup was a far better investment (and a more used one) than any current gen system.
full auto came out a few months after the launch, as I assume it was to be a launch title anyways. It was rushed, and didn't even look that great graphically when it came out. Not really a title to judge a console on. Lots of 360 games are running at a constant 60 fps now.
really? when? Mine only slowed down when my 360 locked up. It was made to be a constant 60 fps. It's nothing like the stuttering in games like Madden.
