There's something that sometimes makes me wanna get some new thinges to play with, so i camed lately to this (maybe obviously) question, but since i need to know for sure i put my trust in you guys - does a NTSC 64dd work only on NTSC N64?
I think he's asking whether he needs A JPN N64 to use it. I'd assume so, however A US system should also work as there are no hardware differences, just a set of tabs preventing you from inserting games. A PAL model most likely wouldn't work.
well, i watched about 3 ebay auctions about a DD64 in a year now and every auction said that you'll need a NTSC-JAP N64 to use it
The 64DD hardware should work on even a PAL N64, but again, there is no PAL software out there that runs off the 64DD. I'm just assuming because the 64DD itself doesn't output any video, it uses the N64 to do that. So it should definitely work on a US N64 since they are the same thing..
The guy on that forum still doesn't sound like he has first-hand experience (he says "to my knowledge"), doesn't anyone here from Europe have a 64DD? Where's good ol' Nintendomad when you need him? ...word is bondage...
