Has anyone ever gotten this working? The only report I've had about any success regarding using a GameShark with a 64Drive was this single post from about a year ago. If you have both a 64Drive and a GameShark, please try doing what is described in that post. Try loading, saving (via pressing reset), and using codes (especially with Nintendo/Rare titles like Conker's, as these have protection mechanisms that should be able to be circumvented with the correct GS keycode).
The basic method (load ROM, plug in USB, then put on Gameshark) works fine, codes do their thing. I haven't tried with any keycode games.
Hmm this would be a welcome feature. I notice that none of my flash carts support gameshark and I'm not about to buy another N64 flash cart since they all work fine (I own four N64 flash carts so why buy another one, waste of money). Right now my favorite one is the Everdrive 64 (v1.01 unfortunately) but it runs stuff GREAT. and off topic but I notice that Krikzz made it auto patch with the intro UPS file to banjo tooie.. kinda wish it didn't have an intro but banjo kazooie does too so oh well, I'd have to learn ASM code to remove those. I had a guy tell me that all you have to do is patch the game to jump in ASM over the intro code and to the game but I'm too lazy to learn ASM again at the moment, actually too much other stuff going on. At any rate, it would have been cool if he added gameshark at the same time or instead rather, since I already patched the ROM and stuck it on the 32 gig stick I have in there. It isn't rocket science to patch a game with a UPS tool
You have seen the alternative menu for the Everdrive that allows gameshark codes? http://krikzz.com/forum/index.php?topic=816.0
I just did some poking around on the web and I just found that. Wow incredible. Thanks, too cos I would have come back to this thread anyways Yeah this everdrive is the ultimate flash cart now. I like it best. Although I do have a place in my heart for the neoflash one since I like the toy like appearance and the toy like gui.. and the 64drive has the cleanest looking gui. It also looks like to update the FW on this everdrive I need some sort of device and I'm not sure if the one for the neoflash kit will work to do this. I'll look into it. I probably don't need an updated FW anyway. Everything runs fine so far. I'll have to check this out. Hopefully he kept the auto patcher for banjo tooie even though it isn't necessary at all. If it isn't there, cool.. I don't need it Already have the game on the 32gb card I stuffed in there cracked and not cracked. I'll test it out and see. Ah just tried it, pretty cool but he took out the fast menu scrolling which is one feature I liked on the ED64 and I also notice 40 winks doesn't allow me to force NTSC and it just scroll/flickers on my TV because I guess it is trying to find 50hz.
