Hm. Seeing that it's connected to the joypad connector, the intresting part is surely mainly on the N64 game that would allow for the cable to be used, aka the data that is transferred to the N64 would be interpretable only by analyzing the application. beautiful images! especially the second one- I wonder if the case beneath it houses a DD of sorts - the GB cable-compatible games I know of made use of the DD.
this is a different GB cable btw. The original GB cable came out of the EXT. port of the GameBoy Pocket (silver in expos) unlike this, a GameBoy Color that has a special gamepak that extends into a n64 controller interface.
