On the upside, I thought this was a nice "warm up" in case something really shitty did happen. You couldn't make a phone call to save your life, but I was on Yahoo Messenger on my phone the entire time, chatting with my few friends that are smart enough to be on there.

In a national crisis, use data. When it's just text, it can handle heaps of traffic. Voice sucks in that respect.
