A few people I knew died on 9/11 and I will offer up a moment of silence for those who died, for those who died in the false wars perpetrated by the greed for power, and to those innocents we have killed in the name of "freedom" and "justice".
There was a great "debunking of conspiracy theories" on THE HISTORY CHANNEL last night. Rest in peace to those that lost their lives.
Tell that to Niels Harrit who found nano thermite in the dust of WTC. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXYF5i_Slj8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUl9Xi7RS5o Niels Harrit igen gæst i Go´Morgen Danmark d.8/4-09 (he holds the dust in a bag right here) Niels Harrit teaches chemistry At the university of Copenhagen, also he has the title of "Lektor" so he is "just" a teacher. Also TV2 News is not a JOKE news channel. Before I forget it, then I will say Amen to what ASSEMbler wrote too. Cause it was not my intention to go totally off topic. R.I.P. To the people who died in that horrible incident.
Same here. For all those people who died on that day, and on the following bad decisions made by the previous US government, Rest In Peace. Amen to what Assembler. Nicely written.
I believe that day was the saddest day in the last 40 years of history. It changed the course of history, and not in a good way. The killing of innocent people, the destruction of a national icon, the rampant witch hunt that went on afterwards on the lookout for a scape goat... I remember the first thing I thought after the shock passed was "I wish Bill Clinton was in office... I'm afraid of what this cowboy might do" I also remember going to highschool only to leave a few hours later, skipping all my clases because my classmates had all gone to celebrate the event in a communist center right around the corner. I was so upset and angry... I also remember crying like a baby when I saw the second tower falling...
The presence of thermite reactions don't really mean too much. Thermite reactions consist of aluminium and iron oxide. Both would be in abundance (aluminium - aircraft, iron oxide or rust/corrosion would happen when steel structure is subject to a large fire). To get it started you just need a large heat source. The fuel in the aircraft would also be burning in an oxygen rich environment due to oxygen tanks on the aircraft also the aircraft has chemical oxygen generators which also give off huge amounts of heat. Thoughts always go out to those who lost their lives day.
I'll never forget that tragic day. All of those deaths and the paranoia that followed was just awful.
I live in Kansas. All I remember is my math teacher drawing the situation on the chalkboard. And then being at bowling practice watching the TV. It never hit me as hard as one would hope. I'm too numb to things that don't directly affect me to feel like I have the right to say anything meaningful. I feel like if I were to say "it was terrible", that it would be an atrocity to those who really mean it, because I don't have first-hand experience with the event.
i lost a cousin. RIP. Recently went to NY , and visited Ground Zero, or where it was, its so different now.
