    Hi everybody,

The one pic I posted over in general gaming has generated some interest, so I thought I'd post a few more pics here. I'm just getting wrapped up with a huge move to a new house, so not everything is unpacked and out yet. But my console room is to a point where I think it's good enough to start showing. If anybody has any suggestions of how to improve it, I'd love to hear them!

Also, none of my current gen consoles are in here. I keep all them in another room with a big screen and my 5.1 setup.

    On to the pics!!

This is the first set of shelves you come to as you walk in the door (door is off to the left)

    Continuing on the same wall...

And one more shelf with loose systems
    [IMG]

Here's the systems that are set up and ready to go at all times

Continuing on to the right hand wall
    [IMG]

One more set of shelves on the right hand wall
    [IMG]

Still on the right hand wall, my desk for classic computers
    [IMG]

One last set of shelves on the wall behind my display case
    [IMG]

Now, on to my display case. Not all of this is really rare, but it's all stuff I like a lot.

That's all the pics I have for now. Hope you enjoy them!

Thats a nice collection you have there. I really like the C64GS, i've been looking out for a decent condition one for ages but they've all been missing a cart flap or ugly yellow.

That's some neat collection, looks almost like a store of some kind :)

I see you have two identical TV sets...I would definitely tate one of them and regard it as an improvement :katamari:

That's an amazing setup you've got there. I love the GuitarHero controller and the Bender figure next to the Master Chief helmet. :)

Wow! Beautiful collection, I really like the glass cases. I wish I had more space, i`ve got so many boxes piling up.

Thanks for the kind words! The display case was something I wanted to have in my old console room, but there just wasn't space for it. When we bought our new house, I planned ahead enough to get a room that is about double the size of what I had so that I could get a nice case. Only problem is that I didn't realize I had enough stuff in storage to fill up the new room. I still need more space! But most of what I have is at least accessible now and I can spend time playing games instead of looking for them!

Mighty impressive collection! The first thing I noticed was your A'Can and the games for it, is that a complete collection or were there more than 8 released?

Oh and you have got all the huge Xbox stuff, steel battalion, halo 3 LE and Rockband... *jealous* ^^"

I've got the 8 boxed A'Can games and 3 loose ones, but one of those is a dupe. I believe I'm just missing 2 games for it total. I know one of them is really tough to get, but I've never tried all that hard to find it!

I like the big box games for some reason. I've got a bunch of strange peripherals hiding in the closet. I like that stuff almost as much as the consoles themselves!

Yeah, and when did you start collecting? I mean collecting in the way of "I am going to buy an A'can and an NR-Reader soon"? :)

It really looked like a store to me! Interesting way to showcase something in museum-like glass cases rather than the boring glass shelves everyone else uses! Of course its a great collection too! Do you use two seperate TVs to have all connected at once because you are too lazy to switch? If not I would also say go ahead and tate one of the screens!

From about 1999, my collection was strictly arcade machines and pinballs. It was around 2003 when I took a trip to the CGE show in Las Vegas with a friend that I decided to do anything with consoles. Most of the good stuff I have came in the past 2 years or so with the bulk being the year before last (2006). That was when I decided to go for a complete US console collection with at least a handful of games to go with each console. As part of that, I started to pick up the rarer consoles from each region as I ran across them. The more obscure the console, the more I wanted it. Things just evolved from there!

The glass case mainly came about as I wanted to be able to have a museum feel to my room, at least for certain things. In particular, the Adventurevision box and the Halcyon, neither of which are easily replacable should something happen to them. But I like the way it showcases what I put in it and it's turned out to be a pretty handy place to do light repairs as it's the perfect height for me to work at!

The 2 tv's are both hooked up to a separate switch box (the Pelican 8 port ones) with the consoles split between them. One is running all of my SVideo consoles and the other is running all of my composite consoles. No real reason I did that other than I had 2 of the tv's not being used for anything else and I think it looks cool to have both of them in there running at the same time!

I hadn't thought about tating one of the screens. That's an interesting idea. I'm not sure I play enough shooters that support it though. Maybe once I get my hands on some of the other shooters I want I'll consider it more!
