I put together a video showcasing just a taste of the awesomeness which this game has to offer, I hope you enjoy it!
I love this game but I've recently stopped playing it due to one stupid section which is a forced stealth mission. I hate it when games like this give you around 10+ hours of freedom to approach a situation anyway you choose only to bring it all to a grinding annoying halt.
I got this game on steam, and I'm pleasantly surprised- I like at the little things it has to offer- -Full ground cover with foliage/grass blades (instead of a texture with patchy grass) -Realistic bullet damage -realistic car damage, cracked windshields -You can only carry a small amount of ammo (to begin with) tl;dr it's a realistic game. I don't like the "hold Q to heal" where you re-position your thumb. The sounds just set me off. I now avoid 4 foot drops at all costs.
It's totally worth hunting from the very beginning to upgrade your equipment, don't need to be stealthy about it. Hunting sharks with an RPG-7 in a speedboat was fun. I got addicted to liberating outposts and radio towers too, almost forgot about the main story.
Same here man, all I'm doing right now is going around to the outposts with mines and c4 to create explosions for this video, now it's a habit! I hate how if you walk into the mission area it automatically puts you onto that mission, you press abandon mission but then it puts you at the radio tower with no waypoint and your gear has changed! I refilled my ammo at a safe house at about 1000m away, went into missions area, abandoned mission, gear and ammo is RESET! -.-
I big fan of original Far Cary 1 and Far cry 3 I bought the insane edition on pre-order thanks to Ubisoft's advertising campaigns, and when it arrived I got stuck in! The story mode is, in a nutshell, absolutely superb. The team for Far Cry 3 seem to have gone all-out into creating the most satisfying, open, fun, and engrossing single player experience I have had in years! The highlights include the multitude of side missions, the massively expansive game world, the cutting-edge graphics and a story so well-written and featuring the best voice/animation combo I have ever seen! The game has its flaws, notably the graphical quality of the multiplayer being a little worse than singleplayer, as well as few performance issues related to framerate in the single player world (particularly in story cutscenes) I really hope people will give this game the play time it so rightly deserves and full marks to Ubisoft for pulling this off so well in the first place. If i had one wish this Xmas it would be that Far Cry 4 is made for the PS4 etc and also (i think it was Valve) that made the half life games please please make a new half life for the future not much else to say other than just try this game you won't be disappointed. These flaws aside I would easily give this 5/5 - Near on perfection on a blu-ray disk.
So I liberated all of the outposts and radio towers. Kinda killed some of the fun of the game now. Not really too enthralled by the story anymore.
yeh it wears thin but not as much as 99% of the games on the market these days. it's still a lot better than buying a game which has a ,5,8 even 10 hour campaign. far cry 3 definitely gives you more to do than most games that came out in 2012 so I still rate it!
Thanks dude I don't know what the thumbs down on the video are for. I don't care but you always notice them, I don't see what there is to dislike apart from some ropey editing in places. Haters got nothing better to do I guess.
oh definitely. I was done with Halo 4 in a day. I've played FC3 everyday since it was released. Even love the multiplayer.
im glad the local multiplayer is included but they could have done a better job not being able to pause or create custom loadouts weird glitches blowing up bridges is a cutscene not in real-time game crashed at the end of the first co-op level, the 2nd one made no sense as we obviously missed a cutscene. enemies spawning in out-of-reach areas, mainly snipers. As for Halo 4, meh, just meh, a lot of the campaign which I saw included padding, running from A to B with no enemies and it was just underwhelming,
I have FarCry 3 on my PS3 and it's a very good game. Before anything else, I went hunting to try and get the best ammo pouches and such. Now I've played maybe 20 hours into the game and have barely touched the story. I have just been exploring and gaining new abilities. I have 10 of the towers activated right now and have taken over most of the enemy bases. I love how you can go anywhere. I was not much of a fan of FarCry 2 at all. That was just dull to me.
