Great pics! Thanks for posting them. Too bad Rent A Hero Nº.1 english is cancelled and AIA has closed (I think).
The Combat Elite WWII Paratroopers is really nice in detail.

Is there any way a sale could be arranged for Rent a Hero?
Would these play in a standard retail xbox or would one need a "Debug Kit" unit to play them?

  9. They won't play in a standard retail Xbox 'cos they are on DVD-R media.

...They would run on a genuine Debug Kit properly, or possibly a modded Xbox dependant on the signing of the .xbe.

i feel like charlton heston, lol...

eep. i should have mentioned that all of this stuff isn't for sale, lol. "from my cold dead hands" should have been the topic title, heh. anyway, i can answer any other q's about the games you have ;^)

  13. ...Do you play with the Action Man figure much?

    :D

where's gerry anderson when you need him?

rofl- NO (good one!). it's actually a george w. bush figure in a ww II uniform, which is really freaky for more than one reason, lol...

  15. George .W. Bush !!!!!!!

...Does it have any pins that you can stick in it?

    ;)

    f-troop!

heh. no pins...or medals, for that matter. i didn't notice it was georgie until about a day after i got the package (it came wrapped in a burlap sack in a huge fed ex box- i have the sack here somewhere). i was looking at the newspaper and something stuck me as really bizarre- then i went and grabbed the figure and looked at it, then the photo of gwb and laughed for like five minutes straight. guess those dolls were on sale and battleborne was able to send a few out to journalists, lol...

How good is RaHN1? Really, how good is it?!

    well...

lol- good enough that sega reused parts of the game design and play mechanics in virtua quest on the game cube- er, take that as you will. i dunno why they just didn't just do rah for the cube- it would have been a much more interesting exclusive.

actually, here's what's "wrong" with the game: no analog control, lousy indoor camera in some areas (there's no camera control in the game), and some cheesy as sal & carmine's* dialog. Also, while it's not a complaint, graphics whores will probably hate the art if they try to stack this up to most other xbox games (good thing i'm a pure-hearted beee-yatch when it comes to visuals, lol)

BUT, it's definitely a SEGA! game through and through. fun to play, fairly lengthy, and with a few musical and visual in-jokes sega fans will find pretty cool. i actually wrote a review for digitpress.com a few years ago (when the game was getting delay after delay)- you can look it up (if it's still there, lol)

oh, before you ask, sal & carmine's is an absolutely awesome pizza place in nyc. 102nd & b'way, run for eternity and a day by two cranky italian guys who don't deliver no matter how much you say you'll pay. but they make the best pizza in the city, i'd say.

    hmmmm (too).

isn't there supposed to be an iso floating around somewhere? i got a message on another forum from someone who said he was offered one and some other stuff in exchange for a pile of cash. i'll bug him later and see if that transaction was ever completed. dunno if he's willing to do anything with it if he's got it, but you never know. the kooky thing is the game got ragged on by most other mags who missed the point of the game entirely. so i'm guessing a lot of discs got trashed back when this was originally reviewed... either that, or you have a small amount of writers just sittng on their discs silently, hoping to pay rent in a few years, lol.
