Hi, I recently got what was sold to me as a PAL Yaroze (DTL-H3002). It seems to work as it should, ie. boots original discs from any region and doesn't boot recordable discs at all (it goes to the "insert PlayStation disc" screen or the CD player). However, just like my green and blue debuggers (both NTSC-U/C) it doesn't show any 4 letter licence code on the black PS screen. Only the longer "Licensed by Sony..." string. I wonder what's up with that? From reading a few threads at these forums, I've got the impression that a Yaroze should always display the disc's licence code (for example, SCEEâ„¢ for PAL games).

I've also got a DTL-H10000S PS2 debugging station which when booting any original or burned PSX disc always says "Licensed by Sony Computer Entertainment, inc. / SCEIâ„¢". Is that perfectly normal for this particular model? I thought only chipped consoles will always display licence information corresponding to their "own" region, and even that only applies to the 4 letter code, not the longer string.

Also, I'm new here. So, hello to everyone. :) Dunno if I'm going to be posting much yet. At least if I notice someone asking something I know about, I'll try to answer.
