So...if anyone still interested in all this pirated stuff.
This evening I discovered new chinese cart "Bio Hazard 3: Last Battle" in local kiosk, translated in russian of course. I looked at the back side of the box to see screnshoots...they were from PSX game (!). I asked seller to test the game, he tried (using his Mega Drive Portable), but game just doesn't work. I told him to clean contacts, but he answered that they are totally clean. He just put another game - and it works fine.
This is a fuckin' rip-off (even not "fair" hack with all right screenshots) and I think it's just "Bio Hazard Battle" game there.

 

Looks nice. Are you Russian? If so, is MD clones still a big thing there, as in can be bought in lot's of places?

 

Yes, they can be bought everywhere. Their quality is so bad that you can't even imagine it. And they are PAL only (how I wrote in another thread, seems there's only one NTSC clone). Last clone I saw yesterday was about 21.50$ and another one was about 30$, one of them seems was bundled with the lightgun.
In china you can also buy exactly the same pirated console stuff, even games which are translated in russian (!).

Yes, you can buy this pirated stuff in lots of places in Russia, but saying that megadrive is still big here would be wrong. It's not Brasil, XBOX360 is big here)))

 

Hmmm I always assumed the Bio Hazard game might be SplatterHouse but guess nit could be anything. Zombies ate my neighbours is a good shout by Yakumo too.

 

I 90% sure that there's Bio Hazard Battle.
It's obvious: original Bio Hazard 3 has title "The Last Escape", not "Battle".
They just write it like that 'cause the title on the box must be similar with title in the game.
Anyway I said to owner of rufiles.narod.ru about this cart, if he will find it he will dump it.

 

If you or anyone else can get ahold of this game I'd love to get it dumped.

It's one of the last remaining unlicensed hacks that hasn't been accounted for. I'd almost settle for buying the cartridge that didn't work just to see if some data could be pulled off it.

 

You know, I can try to find another copy or just buy this unworking cart, my Mega Drive 4 play all carts that it can play, if game doesn't work on it maybe the chip of cart just really dead.
But only if someone will re-buy it from me later, I don't want to keep it with myself. I think to make a short review of it, if it will work.

Yeah, it was a dumb hack, but all guesses were wrong.

 

I was hoping for a complete original pirate game of Biohazard 3 Last Escape is there any cool original pirate Mega Drive games out there that hasn't been dumped yet?

 

Nothing confirmed yet. I've mentioned before I recall reading on a JP site years and years ago(like 2001) that there's a Kirby's Super Star port, but so far there's nothing to back that up. I couldn't even read Japanese back then and can't recall how I figured out what it was saying, so I'm somewhat doubtful of my own memory.

Feels safe to say besides new crap Russian companies are producing, there's probably no old stuff from the 90s that hasn't been brought to light. Well, besides that isometric Pokemon 2 thing that hasn't been dumped yet.

 

How have I missed the Soul Blade with protection removed for so long. Every one I have tried so far failed in my ED. Thanks for thsse!

 

I was poking around on the isozone (please don’t judge ) and found an interesting hack of the megadrive version of Rock n Roll Racing. It adds a few extra playable characters and 2 extra computer controlled characters during races. So far only tested in Kegafusion but it seems to work ok. One of the added characters is from battle toads and another from that old cartoon bicker mice from mars.

Has any of you guys played any of the Pokemon or Harry Potter original pirates before? Also do you guys happen to see any more Multicarts for the genesis yet as well?

Me too there's something so awesome about the horribly distorted midi rock n roll while you blow up other racers.

 

Updated original post with a link to Street Fighter III: 18 Person; dumped it a while back but completely forgot to upload it anywhere. It's an extremely lazy sprite hack by Glorysun, but AFAIK the only SFII hack produced on MD.

As a side note, I know the endings are inaccessable during normal gameplay of the SFII' beta, but does anyone know if any graphical elements exist from them in the ROM? I ask because I thought it was strange they included all the endings in ASCII text within the ROM but no way to access anything gameplay-wise.
