ZoE 2 is just dying for a sequal with better camera controlls. That game was just fenominal. I wonder if kojima would do a ZoE PSP since MGSO did extreamly well on the psp in japan.
There was a remake of the SNES one for the PS2, so it hasn't disappeared altogether. I think I've got it around here somewhere, in fact.
i have it too, its absolutley horrible, what a slaughter OH: and it was released in 2004 (or earlier?) i think so its hardly a "living" franchise
More than most SNES games get. Fair shout though, I do remember playing it once and shoving it on the do not play shelf, probably next to Shadow of Ganymede or Steel Dragon Ex. The crap that ends up on PS2, honestly.
i know, to be honest id rather not see my old faves show up at all if theyre to be handles in such a manner. but then again i guess some remakes are actually quite good.. i just wish it wasent so much hit-n-miss =/ i remember an engraged fan in japan posted pics on his blog of him tearing the manual and snapping the disc of the valken re-release at the launch
Well I just wonder where Quintet went with all their innovative games like Terranigma, Illusion of Time and Actrasier.
Fuck all of that, where the hell is some Rocket Knight Adventures! This was one of my all time favorite Genesis games, and I think it deserves a current gen. sequel. Common Konami, bring him back.
Alex Kidd... I'm still waiting for a "in Miracle World" Remake! What about Rescue Mission? (i love this game) Guardian Heroes? Golden Axe? So many games...
Damn there are so many old games that could bare sequels. Proper sequels though, not just Bubsy 3d type reincarnations. Johnny just reminded me of Golden axe though... Damn I want more Golden Axe action.
Battle-Arema Toshinden sucked! I want a new conker, badly, as well as a sequel for Grim Fandango oh, and bring Larry back too :love2::Girl:
No it didn't... the first game was far more advanced and entertaining than Tekken or Virtua Fighter. It was also the first 3D fighting game with real three dimensional roaming around the opponent and the first to introduce weapons and 3D background. It was way far from "suckin".
don't confuse innovation with fun. Innovative , it might have been, as the next logical step after Tekken and VF, but fun? it wasnt. Thus, it sucked.
I want to see a new Battletoads and a Killer Instinct 3 in high definition goodness. That would kick ass. And they have to bring the fatalitys, I hated how KI2 seemed to do away with the fatality, unless you could see do the ultimate combos which end with a fatal.. I never really liked KI2 as much as KI1 as it was much darker and cooler.
It's funny how people will complain when a good game gets too many sequels and state the company is milking the franchise, but at the same time complain if a good game doesn't get any sequels. Is there really a point when a good franchise should end and we should all move on, or should companies just pump out sequel after sequel? And if the sequels are good, then should we even complain? And with that, I would like to make my contributions: The Horde Icebreaker Albert Odyssey Metal Arms MechCommander That's just off the top of my head.
