Of coruse after the disaster of Inafune's embezzlement of Funds with Might No 9 I no longer give to kickstarters. But A game nobody asked for that actually sounds interesting and stars two characters I still laugh hysterically at. Why not? But no Brody TS, Dante or Randall..... ehhhh I'd consider backing the game if they got Dante and Randall.

They say it's supposed to play like a Cross between Marvel VS Capcom 2 and Donkey Kong country? UH OK interesting mix.

I don't know, but I am a huge Kevin Smith fan, I even met him and totally embarrassed myself in the process in 2002 and wasn't able to watch any of his movies again until about three years ago.

Ah, I remember the first time I saw Clerks; staying up late watching the Independent Film Channel. Those guys loved Kevin Smith back in the day.

I'd say Clerks, Clerks 2, and Chasing Amy are his best films though. Everything is else is... eh. Well, the Clerks cartoon is pretty awesome too.

If only he'd made the Superman movie with the giant mechanical spider.

In a way, that Kevin Smith/Tim Burton abandoned Superman film was made... twice, no less:

According to several people who worked on the ill-fated Superman Lives, it was producer Jon Peters who insisted on the mechanical spider and that there should be a polar bear. As someone who's continued to be involved with the series long after this installment was scrapped, Peters might have seen his role massively reduced with the introduction of industry heavyweights Zack Snyder, David S. Goyer and Christopher Nolan, yet he still had enough power with the studio to ensure his dream to see a polar bear on-screen happened (briefly) in Man Of Steel. Now, the spider is a far more complicated matter. Not long after "Lives" died, he went on to realise this vision in another movie bearing Peters' name as a producer - Wild Wild West. This obviously wasn't enough to keep him satisfied, with the crab-like design of the world engine in Man Of Steel believed to have evolved from an early design for the "mechanical f*****g spider," as I suspect Kevin Smith would like to remember this particular detail he was forced to shoehorn into his script.

Trust me, no right-minded person would have paid good money to see Nicolas Cage playing Superman! File under curiosity that should never have been greenlighted in the first place. Indeed, it's claimed a large portion of the final budget for Superman Returns was everyone involved offsetting funds already wasted developing that earlier abomination.

I really dislike Kevin Smith's directing to be honest. He's a good actor, just a horrible director.

Oh I know, I saw the interview/stand up act he mentions it in. It's hilarious, and better than Wild Wild West (of which the only thing we should take is the theme, which is pretty damn good).

When I was a teenager, I remember thinking that Kevin Smith movies were brilliant an hilarious. As I got older and saw them again, I actually found them to be really pretentious and insipid. Most people I've talked to about this feel similar. I feel like Kevin should have quit while he was ahead a long time ago.

Do that many people even care about Jay and Silent Bob in 2016? Do most people even know who Jay and Silent Bob are anymore?

Kevin's podcasts always deliver, but his last few movies have really fallen flat with me. If there is demand for a game based on his characters at this point, I expect the funding to come from die-hard fans, who'll probably demand a lot of input. Why do I see this project going the same way as Mighty No. 9?

    Snoochie boochies.

(you know that movie Clerks? That was a couple towns over from where I grew up. And the church in Dogma? Same. Those movies depict the monotony of where I grew up)

His later stuff is crap, yeah, but I still love Clerks, Mallrats, and Dogma.

What the fuck happened to Elias?!

That crowdfunding site seems to have been set up for this - there don't appear to be any other projects, or even a home page! The project sounds a bit... eh. I think the game should have been done a long time ago. Concept-wise, it sounds like sword fighting in Monkey Island, but with swearing. It's a shame the prize levels are what they are... $125 to get a T-shirt, or pay $30 for it as an add-on, but you can only unlock the add-on if you've already pledged $69 (hence you spend $99 or more to get a shirt). Ouch!

I like a lot of the View Askew stuff. All the JSB films are good. I even liked Jersey Girl, which always got a bit of flack. Zack and Miri isn't bad, either. Cop Out was a bit disappointing... and I really couldn't get on with Red State. I haven't seen Tusk yet.

I liked Zack and Miri Make a Porno. Entertaining flick. Cop Out wasn't really "his" movie IMO.
