So I was in the city today and walked into EB Games (it's one of the only specialist gaming shops in NZ)!! I just happened to ask the clerk behind the counter if they ever get given Beta games to play, and I was told that "Yes they do but they're not worth anything and they throw them out when they're finished with them"!! I nearly peed my pants with laughter and cried with annoyance at the same time!! So I'm finally HOPEFULLY going to try and get some Beta games!!
The clerk probably ment promo/review copy's, which in all honesty arn't worth that much most of the times. I can't see developers sending out beta games to clerks/individual shops.
Why would you even ask an EB Games employee that? Why would any developer send beta games to a chain store?
The clerk is full BS, he is either getting nothing and just bragging, or he's dumb enough to think review copies are the same as betas
