What the guy said isn't that unfeasible and it's a great idea, open source phones is a topic that should grow way bigger. Standard interfaces could do the job for stuff like cameras, wireless interfaces, sensors or whatever you could think about. Those 4 pin blocks could perfectly carry USB signals. And batteries should have a completely standarized, manfacturer independent form factor, just as storage is unified (SD, for instance) energy is the most important part of the phone and should be standard too.

I've only had broken cases and you can usually get replacements.

You know people, rather than bashing the project, let's try to come up with something better. That WAS the point of this thread. I don't like the design because of the way it looks. Blocks? Really??? Lame...
