A painful video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5ZMPNu3m2I&eurl=http://www.kotaku.com/ Oh man, oh man..
Hmm I could've made a video when my father dropped my Taromaru manual in a bucket of water by accident. >_<
I dont get it. he only opened & played the game it's Hardly destroying it or anything. & LOL at the video title. Really rare my ass. Its not a competition game prize or anything you just have to get 400 points & you can order it off club nintendo. Theres tons of them on ebay & even more on yahoo auctions. Anyone buying this thinking its going to be the next super valuable rare game in years to come is going to be very dissappointed.
but he knew it was going to totally suck. those game n watch games were boring back when I was a kid.
Oh no! Someone took a game from the shrink wrap! My life is over! This doesnt affect me, yet I still care! Seriously! Anyways, I don't see how its THAT bad. He opened a rare game from the plastic. Whoop de doo. If he wanted to really make people mad, he should have bought some exotic dev hardware and set it on fire or something.
My favorite part of this has to be the fact that he's trying to make it clear that he's drinking straight from the bottle. Whats he drinking? Oh, it looks like Barcardi Select....................... Seriously, does this upset anybody other than maybe Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons?
Doesn't bother me one bit. Haha. Oh no! He unwrapped the game and nobody cares! Anyways, what's the point of owning a game if you won't play it. Unless you have two. If you want to sell it when it goes up in price, then you wanted the thing for the profit anyways. And if it was sent out to Club Nintendo members, there should be enough for everybody. I got my Zelda: Collector's Edition [Containing 2 N64, 2 NES games and a "history" movie] which was supposed to be limited and I got it as a member of Club Nintendo, as it was a members only item. We got it for free. And now I see it everywhere.
I hate to admit this... ... but I actually made videos of me opening my Astra Superstars and Crows: The Battle Action. Granted, I don't have them. Though they're probably still on my friend's camera.
I got questioned about opening my rare Japanese copy of Wipeout XL on the Saturn ! I couldn't give two shits if I opened it or not. games are bought to be played, not to sit on a shelf collecting dust. What's the point in that? All my games are opened yet all still look mint with plastic dist covers. All you need to do is look after stuff. then you can play and see them on the shelf  Yakumo
Whatever the reason, years from now that guy is going to ebay this and see that he could have got a lot more for it sealed. Kind of like watching someone send a hundred dollar bill through a paper shredder. A little voice inside says "Stop that! Give it to me instead!"
yeah but what if he bought the game to play, not to sell for a few extra bucks in the future? Like Importaku said, it's as rare as an icecream van on a sunny day ! They are easy to get as long as you have 400 points for Club Nintendo. I sent Importaku a copy only yesterday. Yakumo
To collect and use things is a state of personal enjoyment. Screw the price market, even if did hit 1000 $, would an extra 1.000 change anyone's life? It's not like you're losing out on income when you have a rare-game-opening fetish, or a desire to actualy enjoy a gourmet console/game. If you can afford/earn it, you might as well enjoy it!
It's sort of like drinking a rare, valueble wine. It's there to be enjoyed, but you just have to face the consequences if you choose to consume it instead of sell it. Like if I had two of a game I knew to be rare then I would open one.
