    The smaller ones are *generally* easier, only requiring around 25-30 teaching hours per month, and paying you an hourly wage. Let's put it this way: you want to work hourly when you're teaching. The minimum you will make is 2500 yen per hour, which means they only have to work you 100 hours per month to pay you the minimum wage required to sponsor a foreigner.

    The trick is, getting these jobs outside of Japan is hard. You'd need to enter on a tourist visa, lie through your teeth when you come through customs when they ask you if you're looking for work, then start looking for a job. Japan Times Monday edition is apparently still the best place... it's where I got my first job. Not sure if that's much of a testimonial though.
