Shit man, you're a star! That program worked!! What the hell went wrong for that program to fix it? Yakumo
God knows. But it's true that I get some really crazy problems that nobody has ever seen before. Could it be down to the Japanese Bios running English software such as Adobe CS3 etc??? I doubt it but you never know. Yakumo
I would doubt it. Generally the software (Windows included) is exactly the same, only with translations of menus etc. Is the CMOS setup all in Japanese, then? Again, I think on some boards you can change this.
I think your wife screwed it up . If it was working when you used it and then not working after she used it, then.... you know lol. I'm being sarcastic btw. That was a bizarre problem you had. Got the program just incase I run into it in the future. Thanks jamtex.
Yeah, I blame the missus as well  It was a very bizarre problem though as you say. @Retro - No the MB Bios is all in English. I've yet to come across a Japanese BIOS. Yakumo
Sounds like my friend, MH. I get phone calls every now and then which usually start with "the computer won't boot" and somewhere in the middle of the conversation you get "Lily was home from uni and she used it last... again...." Yakumo, that's interesting. I'd love to watch a Japanese person on the phone to a tech support guy asking what value they should have for their CAS to RAS latency. Or have the guy tell them to go to Integrated Peripherals or change their Processor Frequency Ratio
The NEC PC-9821 series of computers did have the BIOS completely in Japanese, which made setting up fun. Yakumo : You can buy me another pint (of Sake).
