A question about SD2SNES

I'll be interested in getting a SD2SNES when it's available.

I've read on the project homepage that the firmware updates are doing by SD, not being necessary any programmer o additional hardware

My question is, if, let's say next year, Ikari gives support for any additional special chips, it'll be only a matter to update the firmware to get support?

 

That is correct, you should only need to update the firmware for special chip support.
